I can so often forget what I´d love to remember
And always remember what I want to forget:
That face, your face, like the dawn of a new day;
Your smile, as emotional as a new birth,
As warm as the rising sun
And as inviting as a cool breeze on a hot summer day;
Your eyes never cease to sparkle
Always like the stars they twinkle
Their beauty reminds
me still of those lovely flowers of spring, of roses,
And when I take the time to stare into them,
I see you and I, happy and gay, without a day to spare
But the magic I see, there,
Would only work wonders in me
If I held you close to me, under my skin.
Well, I did, and I lost myself somewhere in you.
