I wish I could be funny
I try to live in reality
Nothing funny about a tear
Not funny when sadness is near
I want to laugh out loud
But laughter is in a shroud
I could laugh if I was crazy
But life is too serious for me
We laugh at others expense
The hurt it cause maybe intense
As we try our tribulations to ignore
Laying them at some one else’s door
Someone slips on a banana skin
Another on the ice may skip and spin
To someone else it can be comedy
To ourselves it can only be tragedy
